This is the second time in two months that I have received a cashier check but not by the same company. A note attached with the cashier check of $2000.77 sent Priority Mail Express by a Mr. Chris states that I should text him at (202)991-9972. He also states that I should indicate payment when received with my name, check number (022081933) and date (5/17/18). Claims the infor is for personal protection as well as to prevent system processing errors. Also stated that I should text him before proceeding with client instruction. Claims that any attempt to deposit or cash the check without authorization from them will be returned. States also that all details given will be given on the number (202)991-9972.

Check was issued out by America First Credit Union, Box 9199, Ogden, Utah 84409.

Received a cashier check #022081933 in the amount of $2000.77 which was sent by Priortiy Mail Express. No explanation as to why they sent me this check and a note was enclosed by a Mr. Chris at (202)991-9972. He asks that I text this number for securi5ty purposes and claims this must be done before proceeding with client instructions. Also states 'this note must not be ignored'. He also states that ..."any attempt to deposit or cash the check without getting Authorization will be returned. He states that I should text the number and include my full name before proceeding. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME I HAVE RECEIVED A CHECK IN THE MAIL THE PAST COUPLE OF MONTHS AND I AM BEGINNING TO WONDER HOW MANY MORE PEOPLE HAVE MY PERSONAL INFORMATION TO BE DOING THIS. PLEASE RESPOND. Any information on this will be very much appreciated. Thank you.
