I reached out to Daniel Markson by email inquiry as to a puppy listed on his website. He immediately responded to my inquiry via email and text message and phone call. We agreed to the purchase of the puppy I provided all the information requested to ship the puppy to me. He requested the full money up front which I did not agree to. I gave him half and on the day the puppy was to board the plain I paid him the other half. I received an email and phone call from the shipping company advising the crate provided by Mr. Markson was the incorrected crate and that I needed to pay an extra $1650. After I had already paid him $880 which included the shipping. I did not agreed to pay that amount so I reached out to Mr. Markson who promised to take care of the issue and will get the puppy to me. We are 2 days later no puppy and he has kept my money. For 2 days in a row I have tried to reach him via text and phone calls to no avail. After I finally sent a text letting him know I will be reporting his scam he then proceeded to text me back saying he was filing a report on me for dog abandonment. He seems to have forgotten he is in possession of the puppy and my money. His tactic to scare me did not work. I filed this report and will also be following up with filing another report with the Virginia Police Department and the Department of Federal Trade Commission, FBI's Internet Crime Complaint Center and Petscams.com. Please read and investigate when purchasing a puppy from these scammers. I pray no one else falls pray of this scammer.
