I'm looking for a place to rent and discovered this house on apartments.com. I reached out to the number provided via text only and recieved information back with questions about renting from them. Providing the information requested they requested that I fill out a application before seeing the Place in person. I complied and thought of course since they have multiple offers that they needed this reassurance. They then communicated stating that I would need to provide the application fee again without actually seeing the Place in person. I decided to do a drive by the next day to make sure it looked alright only to discover that the place was actually being sold by Coldwell Banker shook realty. After calling them to confirm this they stated that they have received several calls and stated it was a scam. I provided personal information b/c I felt that this was a legitimate site and now I'm extremely concerned about the protection of my information. I have reported to several places now of the scam and hope that they can somehow get this resolved. I have text messages saved and emails and pictures from the site where the information was posted.
