My son, whom is a recent college graduate, has been applying for several jobs on several job search website. Does not remember specifically applying for this job with this company as he has applied for so many. After doing much due diligence verifying the employer, he continued to discuss the position and eventually accepted the offer. It wasn't until he began communication via text message with the "job recruiter" by the name of Jeff when he was told to deposit a check in the amount of $4980 in his checking account as soon as possible via his mobile banking application. He was supposed to print a copy of the check photo provided via email and then use mobile banking to deposit into his personal checking account. And once this was completed, he would receive instructions to go to a particular website to purchase tech equipment required for the job. Me having a former professional background in banking immediately advised him to halt any further communication and instructions.
