This year we went to put in a water well, my brother has been camping there residing as caretaker of the place.
My brother met a man Matthew E.Weatherly through a private sale of a lawn mower.This guy Matt offered my brother work which he took doing yard work paint such stuff on a house that was no persons residence that Matthew Weatherly was acknowledging he wanted to sell for profit.He mentioned yo my brother he needed professional help in remodeling the kitchen.We were going to be in the state of Oregon soon to be available to water well driller to install our well & my brother who has worked for our business in the past offered the guy our services if he would like in remodeling his kitchen.He was happy with the idea .some time went by when we got to our property when they had time to my husband representing our business went to negotiate work and costs.They came to an agreement the guys put in fourty hours of work the whole time Matthew Weatherly was telling them what a good job they were doing then a couple days before they finished the job .Matt called my brother demanding his key back said he wasn't going to pay the agreed amount offered an insulting amount of payment saying that the work wasn't worth anything took our tools left them outside his house to any persons access. When the guys gave him an invoice for services rendered he yelled at them said he was calling the sheriff and we weren't licensed Contractors in the state of Oregon etc.
I am the owner A licensed Handyman Service feel deeply that my brother ,my Husband and my business have been the victim of fraud,entrapment, and guilty of helping a friend of a friend.Currently I am being fined by the state of Oregons Contractors board for this incident $5,000.00.I personally was threatened to drop my small claim for the work that we did of$3060.00.That this person Matthew Weatherly has the nerve to Counter claim me in the same amount for bogus statements of lack of ability, skill,workmanship false impersonation of a business.
This guy prays on people's good faith .Is an opportunist at any cost has cheated hard working men out of honest days wages to include the people that those wages provide for.
