I found a rental online that sounded to good to be true and the supposed owner said they are abroad due to a missionary mission. He asked me to drive by the house and fill out a rental application with all my information, but I didn't do it.

I asked for him to show me the house and he said that after I send him the application, he would mail me the keys. I figured it was a scam because the price on craigslist was different than the one he reported on his e-mail, so I did some research.

I saw the house for sale on Zillow.com.
