I was looking for a job on glassdoor and applied to what appeared to be a standard remote job. this is a check cashing scam and matches almost verbatim the screenshots already shared.

I was reached out by someone named Alfred from maven clinic who was claiming himself as the hiring manager. The whole process of hiring took place on teams app he sent me google form to fill and once I’m done with it he said he’ll get beck to me tomorrow for my results of hiring.
Next day he reached out to me again on teams and said I’m selected candidate and maven will send me a offer letter soon.
So I got offer letter and unfortunately I signed it off and send all the information along with my drivers license photo and bank details for deposit.
He said they will deposit money in the account to purchase equipment and this raises Aflac yo me like why I need to buy the company has to send the equipment.
Any ways I hit a cheque from them now not sure what they are up to but I’m sure they are planing something big.
Please guide me how I can deal with these imposters.
Does anybody know what they will do after this?

I trusted this job offer only because it was coming from Indeed Job App., I was contacted via email by the Maven Health Clinical HR asking to apply and was obviously accepted a job offer as a Customer service [censored]./ Data Analysts, I was sent over the Job Application along with the W4 to fill out and send back via Email, which went by the name of Gael Huxley, when he called and his photo on Zoom is of a White Male, and the voice of a Arabic/ Not matching photo, I quickly new I was scammed.

I’ve come across this once before, about 2 years ago. The offer was to work from home as a coffee distributor rep. They’ll send you $3,500 or some amount to buy a fax machine and software.

I received this one today after responding to a CareerBuilder ad for 100% remote job and got this text right away, it reads like that other one where, I’m sure, they’ll say something similar if you reply “YES”. The number that was attached was that same number beginning with area code 321, ending in 2331.

When I looked up Qualia Pharma, they’re in Greece, and do not operate (from what I can tell) in the USA.

“Good day, I'm Mr. Dave from Qualia Pharma.I am here to inform that your resume has been reviewed online (career builders),The positions available are: Logistics Manager, Administrative clerk, Medical billing, receptionist clerk, Customer Service,Proofreading,Payroll Clerk and Data Entry. This is strictly an online work from home position with a pay of $35 per hour and trainings is $20 per hour for each position.
Kindly reply back with a "YES" if interested.”

Same number offered check for office supplies, computer. Her name was Keisha Anderson said she was offering $35/hr for remote data entry for Sutter Health. Didn't communicate with the Sutter health.org email. She used Gmail. She's not on LinkedIn, check FedEx. They are pretty savvy playing the long game to gain trust. No company sends a legitimate check to buy a laptop. Legitimate companies send you a Corp laptop and communicate through Corp email. If you get a job offer like this it's a scam.

Exact same experience. Text message from iMessage lady named “Tara(+1 (321) 256-2331)” directed me to a lady named “Kimberly Woodard(+1 (716) 506-5382)” on signal. Remember folks if they ask for banking or social tell them to ask from an email ending in their organizations domain example: [email protected]

I was contacted by someone claiming to be Randal ellis contacting me about my indeed resume for an offer then the interview process took place via instant messaging signal app, they choose names of people who come up as recruiters/similar jobs as what they claim I think. But they are trying to get your bank information through this i believe by leading u into a false trust saying you will get money to buy office setup supplies. everything was shady and too good i knew immediately
