I found the business, www.maxgreatdane.com, searching for a Great Dane puppy for sale. After submitting a website question, I was contacted immediately via text from the following number: 701.264.5849. The person supplied a different photo of selected puppy and said that he was still available. We spoke about the cost and agreed upon a price that included shipping of the puppy since the puppy is in a different state. Once the transfer was made via Zelle the person indicated that the puppy is being prepared for shipment and that a form needed to filled out with my contact details for shipment. The "Shipping Company" then phoned from the following number: 701.353.4135. Thinking that this was just to confirm my shipping information, I wasn't alarmed. Then they asked for $1500 to ship the dog which would be 100% refundable upon delivery of the puppy. The email originated from [email protected]. It came with an email address to send the money to. That address is "[email protected]", but behind that display is the real address of "[email protected]". Once all cash apps were blocking the transfer, the "Shipping Company" replied that this transaction could be completed with the purchase of Walmart gift cards and a picture of the numbers of the back of the cards sent to them. I immediately contacted the "Seller" who replied that this is normal and to not be alarmed. The "Seller" and "Shipping Company" still reached out to me over the next couple of days still requesting the Walmart gift cards.During this time, I was able to find the puppy under different names and prices on a few different websites: angelsgreatdanepuppies.com, Sunshine Great Dane Pups and Guardians Great Dane. No further monies were transferred.
