I scheduled an appointment on a Wednesday for them to come out on Thursday. However, on Thursday morning I was contacted by an outsourced service worker with the company Angelic Appliance Repair - Adrian ***** stating he could not make Thursday work and needed to move the appointment to Friday. I complied.
Friday @ 3:15pm Adrian begins working on my refrigerator - we had an issue with the cooling of the refrigerator and the fridge not turning on to cool at all. Only the light would stay on. I had never had an issue with the fridge for the 7 years I've owned it. I own a Maytag Refrigerator - model number - *********** Before 4:00pm - Adrian tells me that the machine is completely shot and would require thousands of dollars "potentially" to repair - tells me that replacing the machine is the best option and He requests his ******. I pay him cash.
After he leaves I decide to watch a couple videos on Youtube and see what I can do on my own before replacing the machine. I get the machine to operate and begin cooling. However, the fridge component becomes too cold and freezes everything in the fridge. I do my research and find out that my fridge is now missing a part - Maytag ********** Air Damper Control Assembley - Genuine OEM. This part controls how cold the fridge gets from the air of the freezer. I am beyond puzzled at this point because I have never once had this problem before this company operated on my refrigerator.
I text and call Adrian and tell him I believe I have been scammed and fleeced out of ******. But Adrian has my phone number blocked.
I call the # for Maytag AAA Appliance Repair and that number has changed to a different #. I leave a message and get a call back from another cell phone number - his name is "Mike".
Mike calls me back and tells me he will talk with Adrian about the situation. Adrian unblocks my number and threatens to file a police report against me if I call or text him again.
He then texts again. Saying he will provide me a refund of ****** but only does so between the 14th-19th of each month. Well it was the 20th.
I contact Mike again - he tells me I don't deserve a refund and that he will talk to Adrian and see if he can get it done faster.
Today March 21st, I contact Maytag.
Maytag tells me that this company is not a service provider of theirs and I should contact the BBB.
This company is using MAYTAG in their company and website name but is not affiliated with Maytag. This is a significant issue to potential customers. This company has many many locations listed on Google Maps within the Chicagoland area with reviews stating they are Scammers.
I would love remedy to my issue. I would love a refund. But I would love more to protect the next family that may have an issue with their appliance and are misled by this company.
