Type of a scam Online Purchase
I responded back with the information requested. The next email got into the logistics of the purchase, including payment of the full amount of $700, which was 50% off of the original price, per the website and the email. This was not strange to me because I purchased my last dachshund for around $700 as well. Shipping was included, I was told. However, they were now asking that I pay the full $700 instead of the $500 deposit that was referenced in the original email.
It took me a few minutes to respond and then I got a rushed, pushy email stating that “they” were waiting for my response. It felt weird and at this point still had not identified themselves by name. So, I began a line of direct questioning, requesting Zelle email address, AKC credentials, and puppy litter number. I’d called the AKC while waiting to hear back from them about the Zelle and AKC breeder info. The representative advised that I ask about the puppy litter number. She said that if they could not provide that, then they are not legitimate breeders with registered puppies, as advertised. I never heard back from MC Dachshund Breeders.
