While scrolling through my emails today (Dec.4,2024), I saw a notice that said McAfee wanted $357.50 for ayear subscription. I have a different security company and told the person with an Indian accent that I did not authorize this--did not want this. He identified his company as a third party taking care of business. I hung upon him and will now watch my bank account to make sure he did not scam me.
Yesterday I tried canceling a Total AV account (another security company, not my primary but supposedly for $7/month) and became suspicious when the agent tried to guide me through a complicated process on my laptop. He also had an Indian accent and tried handing me over to his boss.I hung up on him, too.

I was sent a bill for $365 with the McAfee logo. It stated if this was an error to call +1-812-793-5672.
I have never used McAfee.
