Tried to charge me $347.57 for a subscription I did not order. There was a number to call to cancel and they started having me to download an app and go to settings. The girl I was talking to keep having to ask questions of someone. And I got very nervous that this was a scam. I did not give them any account numbers. The app that they had me download as something to do with Teamviewer, which my husband has used when he was working but company paid for everything and my husband has not used it since May 3, 2021-he passed away May 11, 2021.

The email 'looks' legit and is sent via Quickbooks ([email protected]).
Whois domain lookup of the domain in the reply address [email protected] made it seem legit. The uppercase B began to raise suspicions.
Also why would a company like McAffee use Quickbooks for billing and receivables ?
Luckily on googling (888) 778-4834 I found this page and it confirmed that this is a scam.

I recieved an email stating I owed almost 400 for 2 computers. I do not own computers and never have. I called and got hung up on, called back and was asking questions as to what info they had of mine and they claimed he couldn't tell me. And then was trying to ask for info of mine and got very rude told me to get a job and stop wasting people time I asked for supervisor and got hung up on, called again 3rd time the number doesnt work anymore.

An email came in saying I paid $500 for 3 years subscription to McAfee but this time I only pay $400 for 3 years less than the last one i paid. They listed a billing number 376RT54J78, and Mcafee Computer security software, product key: 45GT-5418-Xq4t-5H1W, and amount paid $420.

They said they tried reaching me to renew but couldn't reach me, so they renewed my service successfully according to the last service that I had with them for 3 years. I did not authorize any payment and will be checking my Bank America card for this. Their addressed email was to [email protected] but it came to me. i don't know why it reached me as that is not my email.
