REF: McAfee invoice ID: OL6R#68135/YP They sent me two membership renewal notices. The notices stated that with my "electronic consent my annual subscription has been automatically successful .The modified payment source has been effectively updated to reflect the $389.99 recovery fee". I had called them several times informing them clearly that I did not renew any subscription directly or pre pay with any finance institution. During the latter portion of the conversation "Michael" advised me that a ScamPulse.com form had to be completed and offered his assistance and that it was a requirement in order to refuse a renewal In turn I mentioned that this action was a scam and that I would contact my atty for his advice. Michael ended the conversation with "Go Ahead".

I was told I was paying for protection on a tablet, iPhone and laptop. The service I called back to get help with I was told was only for 3 computers. I told the agent I was purchasing a tablet and laptop shortly so he understood what I was asking for

On the morning of April 27, 2023, I recevied an email from [email protected] with no subject line. Within the email, its was stated that I somehow signed up for antivrius protection on 3 devices from McAfee Total Protection (never heard of this company until the email came). Again, I never signed up for any of the services listed in the email but McAfee insists that I did and I have to pay $463.87 in order to renew my subscription. Their phone number is (888) 438-5731 and the company is located at 62020 America Center Drive in San Jose, CA, 95002. For all I know, Jenny Justus could even be a fake name, but this is who is behind the attempted scam.

The Email Message Came From A Company That Was Pretending To Be McAfee. It Used An Email Address That Was Not Affiliated With McAfee. It Kept Sending Me Verification Codes Used To Verify My Identity On The Official McAfee Website.

They sent me an email claiming to be from McAfee software and said would be charging me $299.99 for a renewal for software protection that I don't have....

Said I had to cancel to get refund

They walked me through it but when it came to putting the amount of refund it added extra 0's so seeing 10,000 extra in account freaked me out....,

Said the ScamPulse.com will prosecute if don't return money...

So unfortunately they got away with two 500 gift cards until I realized what was happening...

They called the next day and I told him not giving any more money,

He in turn said they will be prosecuting...he gave a phone # of 877- 265-2855 and 551-308-0456
