I placed an ad on craigslist and got a text, do you still have it for sale, I said yes, they sent back can you accept a cashier check payment for the sale and once the check clears will set-up pickup, send me your info so payment can be mailed out immediately. Gave my address, then got a text saying "Also there will be an additional amount because the movers fee will be included and after deducting your fee, the difference goes to my movers so pickup can be done. Cause I also have other items to be picked up". Then, "After the check clears I will let you know when to send the balance for the movers, please take the posting off craigslist and consider it sold to me". The check came, my Item was for $250 the check was for $2100. I get another text, saying it's the buyer from a different phone # telling me it's his/her other line and to get back to them there and then "I just got an update that the check has been delivered to your mailbox as at now,?? I want you to keep me updated about it as soon as possible" " It was confirmed by the usps tracking, did you get my text?" And then this afternoon the same phone # called me twice, I didn't answer......... Please be very careful when placing ads on craigslist, it's a great place to advertise but beware of scammers
