I was searching a website when a pop up covered the page saying I needed to register for a free trial to access information. I don’t usually get caught but it seemed plausible and the site is highly respected. So I gave it my CC info , set up an account / login. The next thing I knew I was in the mediafrye website and it sounded like I had agreed to a subscription. I’ve walked through the process a few times and all it says is it’s free. There is no mention of fees kicking in ever. I immediately called the number for cancelling memberships. It sounded like I was routed to China. The person on the phone said he needed the last 4 of my cc, my name , address and phone number. ?? before he could cancel my subscription.

He claimed to have done it after first trying to talk me into the product ( internet says it could be $50 / month. ). . They tricked me into thinking I was signing up for the service I wanted at Ped Paws ! And I was at Ped Paws because I was able to access some information that a hacker could not have duplicated. Somehow lp.storagecdf.com hijacked Ped Paws and sent me to http://mediafyre.net/ How is this legal ? I am terrified that my info has been compromised!
