This morning I received 2 more emails from completely different addresses; [email protected] and system admin again reminding me that my free trial is about to expire and that I will be staying with them?? whoever them is as I did not get a free trial of any sorts... nor do I do any ordering in the States.
Both email sports the same verbiage as the first.
When I googled the address as there is not a business name it came up with a dozen or more hotels in LA California. When I tried to call both numbers provided all I got was a fast beeping, no surprise.
You can imagine my plan if anyone did answer.. they'd be deaf for sure.
Anyway.. I have responded to their emails and told them to pound sand and that I have reported them to the BBB.
What do I need to do or not do going forward? I have also cancelled both my credit cards which is a huge inconvenience to me.
Thank you
The question regarding 'Did the victim lose personally identifiable info? I don't know what they can extract from knowing my email address.. maybe my address and full name but I don't think they can access any financial info or BD just from emails, can they? I do my banking on line, taxes on line have a CRA account etc., but can they access this by emailing me and me responding because I was beyond pissed off and done with scammers... I am not an [censored] and keep very detailed records of my daily activity and I can say with certainty that I did not buy into or sign onto any medical service crap.. So far I have not seen any $89.99 charges on my CC but having had to cancel them now because I don't know if they really can without me giving this info to them.. I don't think they can, right?
