I received a call from a woman on my direct work phone number. They started off by saying they are not asking for any money (which is a red flag to me), and was calling people who are currently on Medicare to let them know about benefits they may not be using. I let her know I am not currently on Medicare as I am not 65 years old. She then asked if I had taken any disability benefits in the last two years (this is a HIPPA violation), and I advised no I hadn't. She then told me congratulations, I am eligible to win a trip, at which point I hung up, and called back to get the name of the company she was supposedly calling from. First time I called I got an automated voice saying I am the only person in the conference. Second time I called back the line picked up, I got the company name, and then what sounded like the same voice from the original phone call started in on the Medicare benefits I'm not currently using.
