I received a call on my home phone last Saturday. September 16th. The callers name was Mary. She was working for the Medicare Department. She gave me her phone number 202-263-9455. They want to send me a new Medicare card. The old one expired. I told her I don't think so. The Medicare card does not have an expiration date. She asked for my Medicare number. I did not give my Medicare number out. She said she had my name and birthday. She insisted I give my Medicare number. I said it does not expire. I said I am going to check if you are a scam. She said I am going to call you back later. I do not have caller ID. She did not call back. I also told her the Federal Government does not work on weekends.
