phone call from Jack at medicare shipping. They know my name, DOB, medicare number and want to ship something to help my neck and back pain. (I have never had pain)

phone number used 605 702 5139 which says south dakota on my cell.

A person called my mom on the phone saying he was from Medicare and wanted to go over her medications. They made telephone appointment for the next day, and they sent a person to her house instead. The person said he was representing Medicare and wrote down her medication information. He talked to us about elder care, and asked if she owned her home and had any funeral plans. I became suspicious and asked him to explain why he was there. And my questions lead to him telling us he was a broker. He mislead us. We made him leave the paperwork he filled out on my mom, but he said it belonged to the company. I told him not with my moms info on it. I want to warn other elderly people and people in general that this company is not honest and straightforward like their value statement says. The way the gather clients is shady.

Calls come from 818-625-. When first answering, there is a choice to speak to a representative or to be taken off the list. In either case, you get connected to an agent. They say I am entitled to free orthopedic equipment, that I must have some pain that could be addressed with the orthopedic equipment for free from Medicare. They finally hang up even though you say you don't have any orthopedic issues. The last 4 digits change each time that I block it, so this NY? company is using a dialer. The employee said they are not allowed to make long distance calls & that is why I see an 818-625 number each time. My number is 818-625-, so they are targeting me by using part of my phone number and just changing the last 4 numbers. They have used the following 4 digits which I continue to block: 7577, 3636, 5601,6152,4312, 9607,5793, 1619,3780 and the list goes on. Before blocking each number, I get calls each day, perhaps 4-5, then I block it. It is to the point that today they call every few minutes.

Caller identified themselves as from “Medicare Services”, asked if I could hear them. I answered “yes” and the phone went dead.

Responded "Yes" to the question can you hear me. The caller then hung up. I assume this is part of the scam in which the caller records the answer "Yes" and then later uses that recording as proof that the person receiving the call gave permission for a fraudulent purchase.
