I applied for a job on Indeed.com. I received an email back a few days later instructing me to download google hangouts and contact Ms Caitlyn Dexter via google hangouts. I did and was given an interview and “hired”. I was told the company would provide me with all tools and materials needed. But instead of sending me the materials, they send me a check from another company. They also emailed me an employment contract with none of my personal information on it and a job application asking for my social security number. I have tried to contact the company directly but there is no telephone number listed anywhere. This feels like a scam.
