Scammer's address NV, USA
Type of a scam Sweepstakes/Lottery/Prizes
In previous calls I told the caller I am notifying the BBB, to give me their name and number and that I am going to call the sweepstakes customer service number directly. But their job is to keep me on the line, and to pressure me into believing that this is a legitimate call and repeat that a prize of three million has been won. They don't care about threatening them with reporting them to the ScamPulse.com or the police, they present themselves with fake names, and they can mask their original phone number with another area code, like a local area code number.
These callers are professionals, do not try to reason with them. I tried and I ended up being threatened with bodily harm. The best thing to do is to make the phone call as short as possible, and hang up. You are just a number to them, a potential source of money and that is all. Do not listen to them, do not treat them like they are normal people, because they are criminals. You are just a cow walking into a butcher shop. Any sweepstake or contest company never calls you on the phone. And they never ask you for money, or fees over the phone. If you have any doubts always contact the company with their customer service number to confirm anything first.
