I was seeking employment through online applications (ziprecuriter) and they conducted an interview via google hangouts. Within the next 24 hours, I completed the job offer letter and received further instructions via email about receiving a check. Once the check arrived via fed ex to purchase the work equipment, my bank refused to deposit the check because it was not real. Currently I am trying to communicate with them the issue at hand (check will not clear) and they keep giving me the runarounds.
The only personal information they received was my mailing address, information from my resume, and my driver's licenses.
Email address used by scammer was also [email protected], [email protected], received communications from various people with different contact information.
