Unfortunately due to the circumstances and stress I was under I was not thinking as sharp or clearly as I normally would. I called a number that came up as sponsored on Google that said "Medi-cal". However, once on the phone something seemed off because the guy was asking for credit card number to charge me a "one time" fee to set up insurance. And said that it would be reimbursed within 30 days. After much back and forth and this a****** lying and posing as an official MediCal representative, I finally agreed and my mom allowed me to give him her card info to charge.
I had a bad feeling about it all, and it didn't take long for me to figure out I had been scammed and that it was not actually Medi-Cal I spoke to. So I immediately called the number up again and asked them to cancel my "plan" and to refund me. The next guy I talked to didn't ask why or anything - just said okay it's canceled and I would be refunded. He asked for the credit card info again, in order to process the refund. I gave it to him. But instead of refunding the original charge, he ran it AGAIN!
I was done talking to these creeps after that. So my mom contacted her credit card company to dispute the charges. But we can't escape this awful, EVIL con company. They keep charging my moms card every month! Even after she has canceled the old card and gotten a new one, they have somehow found a way around it and continue to charge it month after month.
I don't understand how this hasn't been shut down by now, but I wish it would happen soon. They took advantage of me during a really vulnerable, hard time in my life. And I know I'm not the only one they've done this to. These people are the [censored] of the earth for choosing this as a way to make money.

I spoke with the first rep whose name was Thomas. He told me in order to cancel my MNSure plan that I would still be responsible for paying through the end of the year. When I told him that this couldn't be true, and that I can cancel my plan whenever I chose, he said that was not true. I asked to be transferred to a supervisor and he put me on hold. Not once during our conversation did he ever disclose that he was not a MNSure rep.
I was then transferred to a Robert and I explained my wish to terminate my plan through MNSure. He said he would help me with that request and said that the only way to do that was by making it look like I was starting a new policy. He said that I would not have to pay for the new policy and that he would go ahead and cancel my MNSure policy through this route so I would not be responsible for my November and December payments. I stated multiple times that I just wanted to cancel my MNSure policy and he NEVER once stated that he did not work for MNSure or have the ability to do what I was asking. He had me sign forms online all while reassured me that this was the process for canceling my MNSure policy. Instead, he signed me up for a new policy through your company. This was fraudulent activity and I later found out that he was doing it for commission.

Where the process began. I provided my credit card data for the initiation fee and the first month’s cost, $477.10. The charge was immediate. Promises of information to be sent to my son’s email address were made and a wish to my wife and I for, “ a blessed day,” was conveyed.
We contacted my son who established an account on the Innovative Partners customer portal using his email and set a new password.
Upon follow up with the local area specialist and doctor’s billing department, concerns arose. upon scrutinizing the plan, it seemed questionable. More research reflected Aetna… and a reputable company in Connecticut, named Innovative Partners. I found that they had posted a warning about potential fraudulent activities tied to their name regarding insurance plan sales. This warning emphasized that while they do operate under the name “Innovative Partners,” they do not deal with insurance claims or verifications outside the state of Connecticut.
Efforts are now underway to report the scam to police authorities and dispute the charge with my credit card.
