My mom is 97 years old and received a letter from Mepco that her home warranty was expiring and to call right away. She called and gave them her charge card# for the first payment. I called and permanently canceled her card. They have called her a few times and she told them she does not want their service. They continued to send more letters and now car warranty letters. At this time Mepco has not received any money from her. This is very frustrating and madding.

I received a postal card thinking it was legitimate since it had my car information. I called to see what it was about. Apparently it was a coverage if I ever ended up in a reek they would cover the parts without any worries. The agent (forgot his name) said they would send a packet with such information through mail but I never received it. He also said that it was one payment for the whole year which was a lie. The next month I got charged again but I was able to stop the transaction. The following month I got a bill owing 3 payments more.
I called MEPCO itself and asked if I could cancel. They ended up giving me a number that does not work. I called 2 more of the numbers that they provide on the billing paper. One didn't work and the other passed me another phone number which did not work either.
I will send them a request to cancel through mail since that's what their website recommends. Otherwise, I will have to find other methods to deal with this.
