I posted a couch on Facebook marketplace and the scammer contacted me saying they were interested and gave me their phone number and asked that I text them since they are not active on Facebook. I texted and they responded saying they were going to call me from another number with an area code from Washington DC and I should tell them the code that the phone call says. I said no and that they are trying to scam me and they denied it. As I was typing info into this form I went to their profile on Facebook which is no longer available to view.
