was phoned by someone saying they represented micro soft computer, they were able to gibe me all my personal information with respect name, address, phone number etc. as well as date we purchased computer. He explained the computer was infected with several viruses and due to this was at high risk, if I had 15 minuets he would walk me through the steps to clean these from the system. I was leery and questioned him about "who" he was but he said assured me he could prove once i was at computer it would be obvious. I was walked through several steps on computer which took me to screens showing warnings and applications which were not executed. At this point I was told these were what was causing my problem and I would then be transferred to the technical team to clean the computer.

When I was transferred I asked for name of person, he took me to specific site which then looked like something I would have to download. Something called Teamviewer.

He then asked when I bough computer, which I said he should know as he had all the information regarding licencing, he knew and said our micro soft licence had expired but as we had so many viruses they were happy to refund us $300.

I immediately said I would not give any banking information, he said they did not take credit card or debit, they only did wire transfers, and asked if i did online banking, I said i did but would not give information. I told him I would be happy to receive refund by check in the mail, he said to hold while he transferred me to banking department and then the call was ended!!!!

I do not know where the call originated from, as in what country, I spoke to two people. Both had heavy east Indian accents. Both were pleasant. I could hear several other callers in the background. I asked for phone # and was given number listed below.

I am hoping I have not corrupted my computer.....I am thankful I was not gullible enough to give the $$$ information.
