Type of a scam Counterfeit Product
I had googled how to get support with my printer program. I didn’t pay attention & called the phone number above.
He told me I need to rejoin, my account was expired. I ended up talking with “supervisor” that told me the same thing. It was $149 for another year & they wanted me to scan a check to them. Not credit card just a check.
Through all this talking they did gain access/control of my computer.
I then shut that down & ended the call.
I then found the right number to HP & spoke to them. My account had not expired & they are not familiar with this company.
I just called the same number & another man answered claiming they were Hewitt Packer. They had caller I’d because he knew the name on my cell phone. He started asking me personal information again & I ended the call.
They all had broken English. From India or somewhere similar.
