I got a pop up screen on my computer in which it said my computer has been frozen. my info may have been hacked.To call the phone number on the screen. I called myself looking up another number in which I googled on my phone. I had a feeling the one one the popup screen was a scam. I thought I was calling Microsoft. They said they were. When it was this sight. I became suspicious after I downloaded the app to give them entry into my computer. All three techs had English names, James Walker, Bryan, Richard Brown, David Miller. when they had heavy accents and clearly were not english. They charged me $*** to put on a anti-hacking, network security and firewall. They said I could give them a post dated check for Sept 3rd. They also had me fill out a feedback/ work completion report. authorizing the payment by check. Also had a form to give my opinion/feedback on the work they did. It seemed like the problem was resolved. But again, after reading your report, maybe initially there was never any problem, just a trick. Please investigate. Thank you.
