Type of a scam Tech Support
This incident originally happened somewhere around September of 2019.
I had a voicemail from Microsoft support stating that my license was about to expire and that the yearly license fee is $300.00 USD. I just need to be in front of my desktop to continue the transaction. I stated that I was on my lunch break and that I would call back when I get back to my apartment.
I thought that maybe it was legit and that I had inadvertently activated on of Microsofts host of software applications. The person on the other end had an Americanized name and the background noise was more reminiscent of a boiler room. Too many red flags to take him seriously. I immediately contacted my credit card company to notify them that if any company attempts to charge me, it is fraud.
