Email was received saying my husband was due a $30.00 refund from Microsoft Defender. As he was checking and entered the amount, the number grew to $30,000. He tried to correct the error but was blocked was accessing anything on the computer. Then he received a phone call from Peter at 1-877-221-1101, to take the virus off

Then, he received a call from Brandon at 1-581-577-4570, to complete the transaction, which he tried to move money from our account and when that didn't work, he wanted the money wired to him because of the company's mistake. When the computer was taken over, they did get my husband's SS number.

He got upset that the money could not be direct wired and got even more upset when I disconnected the wifi service.

They say I ordered this Microsoft account 2 years ago. When I asked for derails and how they were receiving payment they told me they couldn't share that info. I said if thus us a true account cancel asap because I didn't authorize it order this service. He told me the only way I could cancel us through a computer. I told him I don't own a computer. He said I'm sorry and hung up. Every time au call back tge call drops.
