I was called by a person with a middle-eastern accent (she would not give me her name), claiming to be from Microsoft HP Computer Support, she said they were contacting me today because of some reports of errors being downloaded from the internet & malicious files that are viruses. I asked her how she obtained this information & she said from a report (I have not reported anything to Microsoft or HP). After she told me how, I said that I run regular scans on my computer and it is well-protected, so I know there aren't any issues. She argued saying she can show me these malicious files and viruses and errors if I give her access to my computer. I replied by saying absolutely NOT! And made it very clear I do NOT give her permission of any sort to go into my computer & that I know this is just a scam because I know I don't have any viruses on my computer. Then she changed her mind saying, oh no maam I am sorry you do not have any viruses, but you have many errors and malicious files. I told her I am not interested in being scammed and hung up the phone.
