Type of a scam Tech Support
This morning I received a call from Microsoft Refund Company telling me that the tech support company had gone out of business and that the Microsoft Refund company was going to issue me a refund.
They told me that they were going to deposit 2000.00 into my savings account, and that I should send back $1700.00.
When I went to the bank, no deposit had been made, so I transferred all of the money into a new account. I told the company that I would not send them any money and they locked my computer and told me that I would never be able to have a new computer again.
I cannot access anything on my own computer now, and will have to take it to a local tech support place.
