This business stated I needed updated software to continue using my computer. He originally stated the software would cost 500. He said I had to pay in itunes cards. After everything was said and done I sent him 2500.00 in itunes cards.

As I was about to check my inbox on AOL, the screen changed to a script that looked as if it were fromk Microsoft and a voice warned me that I had a virus, that if I closed the screen, I would lose valuable information and my personal banking, credit card, etc info would be jeopardized. They urged me to call 1-855-205-4082 immediately.

This is a pop up scam on Google Chrome browser. Make sure to either close your browser immediately and if that is not possible, shut down your computer. Don't interact with the web dialog box or call the phone number.

An obnoxious pop up periodically launches itself and is audibly telling me my computer is at risk and if I don't call the above number, they will shut down my computer.

I can't get rid of it any other way than control, alt, delete on my laptop.

thank you

March 31st, received call from man claiming from Microsoft and someone was using our e-mail address. Then He actually GAVE OUR CORRECT E-MAIL ADDDRESS and that got my attention. He advised someone is making purchases using our credit card # ending in XXXX. This was not a correct card # so I hung up ! ! ! !

Gentleman with heavy accent called and said he was from Microsoft Tech Support and my computer has been reporting many errors to them. He wanted me to get on my home computer but I just kept asking questions of him. He called from 216-953-5274 and said his name was Wilson. He would not give a last name but gave me a number to call back. I called 855-675-0098 as I was talking to him. Guy answered as Network Support also with heavy accent so I put the two together and told them to talk to each other. Note - 216# was NIS when I called back but the 855# was not.

very dishonest and said he was billing us at the middle of phone call

My email was showing alerts of security and I automatically looked up Microsoft because they are whom I am with as far as my software and email are concern. I went online after I was able and found a number on a Microsoft site. Called this number was talking to a rep that said she could help me and asked if she could have permission to go into my computer, which I did to access the problems in my computer and then transferred me to tech support rep to help me with this problem. I told her that I didn't have funds until this Friday but she said would talk to her superior and ask if she could make me an offer that she would hold an amount of 149.00 and Friday if I was still interested in a year of tech support I would need to pay another 100.00. I said to her not to post 149.00 to my account until Friday because she would make it bounce and she did it anyway. She broke her word that she wouldn't do this. If this is not stupid then I really blew it. This amount that she took is only for seven day because the tech person actually cleaned out my computer; at least I think he did!

Claims that computer been hacked and need them to fix for a price. Needs to get into computer and fix. Total scam.... I don't own a computer just tablet and phone, neither runs Microsoft Windows. I played dumb and wasted about 45 minutes of his time with know information given to him. He got rude with me and hung up.

I was called 7 or 8 times within the past two days from a supposedly Microsoft tech informing me that my Microsoft account would expire.

When I called them back at the end of my work day, I did get a "Supervisor" and told them to stop calling my cell number because I was not interested.

Was looking at my e-mail when a window opened and said I had a trojan. They told me to the support # at 1-877-238-4120. I then spoke to a david williams, #B2957E. He told me about all these trojans and where they came from and said that if you pay for either 1,2, or 3 years they can protect your computer and that the computer stores couldn't fix these because they don't have the license to fix this. They gave me a cust. Id # RTE-*** for a 3year deal.

They then turned me over to a technamed kim who can fix this. She was from real tech solutionsI was told it would take 30-35 min but it took more like 1 hour and that all computers and any other device was also on this plan.

I had a feeling that this was a scam and immediately called my bank to cancel my account so nothing could be taken. I told other people what had happened and I was told by 2 co-workers that they to were hacked but they deleted them.

Sorry, I don't have an example of what I received swo I can't send a picturre.

Got a phone call from an individual with a thick accent (possibly Indian) stating my computer is sending multiple emails over and over again. Wanted to give me the # to something I could not understand but sounded like the license # for our Microsoft office software. I told him that I would contact Microsoft to find out from them what is going on. He states "ok, ok, ok. thank you". and the called ended.

Scammer called numerous times in the past. At least 4 times in past week. Said they were Microsoft maintenance support and found a virus in my computer system. Asked for individual's name and they hung up. Foreign accent, looked up area code (208) originates from Idaho. Did not let conversation proceed knowing they were phising for info

They call stating to be Microsoft tech-support, and then they tried to get you to download a window sharing app on your Windows computer, And then will hack your computer. We've received over 10 calls from them.

A guy called me saying he was from Microsoft Windows Tech department. He had a heavy indian accent,he goes on to tell me that they had been receiving errors from my computer and that he needed me to give him access to it.This is the 3rd call i've received in the month of MAY so far. I told him he was crazy if he thought that i was gonna give him access to my computer and called him a scammer. He hung up on me.I Received 2 other calls like this back in april too! Both those calls showed up blocked on my caller Id.Only this most recent one showed a number supposedly from Philly.

Clicked on a website on Facebook when a blue screen appeared and everything froze. A message appeared stating they were Microsoft tech support with a 855 number to call. I called and Microsoft remote accessed into my computer to clean up the virus I had. After they cleaned everything they wanted my credit card for $199.99 for a one year protection plan. I told them I wasn't going to give them my credit card and that's when my computer completely crashed. I took my computer into a computer store locally who is now repairing everything.

Pop up urgent message that said computer had spyware installed and to call Microsoft tech support at a phone number. Called the number. Said "Jordan" at Microsoft tech support . Needed code to get into computer and clear spyware. Given code. They then "cleared" spyware and installed several devices that they said would protect computer. Very friendly and personable. Stated we needed to pat $186 American. Gave them visa. VISA wouldn't accept. They stayed on the line while we arranged $240 Canadian payment. One week later called back to see how computer working. Said "hi this is tech support". We were now suspicious. Took to local geek squad at Best Buy store. They said scam and wiped computer. Next day "Jordan" called back and said he was having trouble getting into our computer. We said computer is wiped and hung up. The visa payment said Dubai. The last call from them said Fort Lauderdale.
