The screen below appeared with an alarm sound. I called the number assuming it was Microsoft. They called me back from two different numbers, 1-855-6480 and 1-855-532-1333. Immediately after I was called from the Microsoft number 1800-642-7676, which was being hijacked or impersonated. They showed me screens on my desktop that showed all my passwords. They showed me a screen which appears to be my Microsoft account and said it was compromised. They walked me through screens from my computer showing me what has been hacked and how I can’t control anything anymore. I tried to logout and couldn’t, they said all my info has been compromised and talked about seeing my family through the computers cameras. They said my bank account had been comprised and I couldn’t pay the Microsoft techs though my debit card. I don’t know what I was thinking! They told me techs were coming to my home and I needed to set up the new security (1000.00) before they got there with google payment cards. After I stupidly did that, they wanted a refundable 4000.00 deposit before they showed up. And they stayed on the phone while I purchased the cardsSayomg it was a secure line to protect my internet form hacking while we went through the steps of security. I had been questioning them the whole time though wanting more confirmation form Microsoft as to their credibility. THis made them upset. I finally was able to use a computer outside my home to contact A legitimate agent. This is so dumb that I fell for some of this but I think the part about them seeing my family through the camera motivated me to believe they were actually Microsoft. This also made it hard for me to believe the real agents once I got through to them since their website number was compromised through my phone.
