I received a Skype interview with a man named Michael from Midland Papers from a graphic design position. He used this email: [email protected] and this email: [email protected]. I was asked all the usual interview questions. I was accepted for the job. I was told I would receive a check for office supplies via FedEx. I deposited it into my ******* *** Bank account.

Check details:

Amount: $5,486.00

From: Guidepost Solutions LLC

Address: 415 Madison Avenue, 11th Floor, NY, NY 10017

Bank: JP Morgan Chase, N.A

Bank Address: 270 Park Avenue, NY, NY 10017

I was told to purchase the following office supplies with the check: Apple Macbook pro 2020, protection, graphic tablet (Wacom Cintiq 16), Multi-functional printer, Card Filing Systems, Digital Storage, Surge Protectors and Automated Time Tracker.

They said it would be best to buy it through their vendor. Which would require me to send a cashiers check to the vendor. Luckily the banks were closed because of the snow. Vendor details below.

I did not send a check. But because the "office supplies" needed to be delivered they said I can use Zelle to send the money directly to the delivery person through this email: [email protected]

I sent a total of $2,000.

The next day the check was rejected. The man is currently still sending messages claiming he will send me the money back.
