The employer had a job listing posted on OfferUp, and after I emailed them about it they had me sign a DocuSign form, officially applying. Then they had an idme account setup to have me do a background check through, I clicked the link and created the account but quickly changed my password out of fear of my information being stolen. They then had a link sent to me by a third party to verify my phone number, this link was one that said I had created a DCU account and not to click the link if the account was not setup by me (which it was not). This was all enough to convince me this was not legit.
