First caught off by the fact that I entered their giveaway for a plate carrier mag setup and they’re telling me I won a discount code for a damn backpack. Nonetheless I went in placed the code and then it says I’ll
Need to pay $25 shipping fee... thanks for the “free prize” guys. Joke... won’t be going through cause honestly have high doubts that I’d ever even see the back pack if placed the order. Don’t fall for the fluff haha it’s a fake giveaway

I wouldn’t say I was scammed, but seeing this report does raise some concerns. I recently (5/22/21) had been contacted by Military.prx that I won their giveaway. In the posting comments they stated they were giving away 20 of these kits (vest setup). Now, I could be wrong and maybe they were not picking 20 people in this one giveaway.

I received the message at 1:04 PM advising to confirm on the listing on their official site before they declare my prize expired. Now, I didn’t see the message until 8:01 PM that night and wasn’t sure what the timeframe was since they weren’t specific. So I replied back hoping I wasn’t too late and confirmed on their listing.

The following day I did not hear anything from them but saw where they had read my message (it says “seen” when they open it). I had sent another message later in the day on both their Military.prx and Military.only profiles. I was just asking how many kits were they giving away and if I didn’t get it, no harm no foul, I missed it.

no reply. But AGAIN saw where they had read message.

I want to reiterate that I’m not “salty” cause I didn’t win, but at least wanted to get an answer as to what happened.

An account called @military.prx on Instagram ran a contest where you tag friends for a chance to win an item and then message them done. I tagged a few friends and then messaged DONE. A few days later was contacted by direct message that I won out of 350 people and they gave me a $65 discount code to use on a tactical backpack. I used the code on their site and turns out there’s a $20 shipping fee. I pay it because it still seems like a good deal for a “free” $65 bag. I don’t receive any type of confirmation email from them. I wait weeks and hear nothing so I reach out and can’t seem to get a response. I check my account and it shows they took the money out of the account. I’ve reached out with no real response and it’s been since April 2020. It’s now August 2020. Each time I reach out they ask when I ordered and when I answer, they don’t respond or they send me an email address to message that doesn’t get a response either. I understand a pandemic is happening but they have not given any indication they will fulfill it. It may not seem like much but if they’re doing this to multiple people I can see it being a real issue especially since they’re saying you win something and pocket the shipping and handling money. They also go by The Outdoor Shop.

According to the website Whois.com, this company registered their website on 2/19/20 with the registrar being Contact Privacy Inc. Customer 0157016172 out of Canada.
