Scam from Michelle Thompson

I received a text from a Lady and said that her name was Michelle Thompson. Went through all the great things about this Mindray company trying to look legit. The next day she changed her name to Debbie Muller. Said the same thing that she would send me the check and office supplies. Sent me to sign the offer. i felt like it was fishy so i told her I'm no longer interested in the job. I got no respond back. Big scam.

Michelle Thompson, Sr. Director of Human Resources at Mindray reached out to me about a Remote Customer Service job. I interviewed through the Signal Messaging app and was offered the position. Two days later she sent me an Employee Contract and started the process of getting the "required software." She emailed me a check for $970 and instructed me to mobile deposit it into my account. I started asking questions about the check and called the bank directly. It was a check from a closed account. The money would have cleared in my account, I would have spent it on the "software," then I would have found out in 2-3 days that it was an invalid check.
