The way it started was, November 28, 2020, a random person contacted me via Instagram, with a fake account. The individual told me to contact the company. I never responded, but went to this company’s Instagram. They currently have 1.3 million followers. It seemed sketchy, but they said dm for a collaboration, in their bio. I DM them to see if it was fake or not. They thank me for contacting them and told me that they wanted to collaborate with me and was glad that I messaged them. They presented me with this opportunity to model their clothes. They said, they would promote me through their page and post me on their story. When you visit their page, it looks like, what they say they do. They have different girls modeling their clothes. I was still skeptical about it, but I was curious to see what they were about. They assigned a collaboration manager named Ella. They gave me this person’s insta page and I messaged them. I waited a week before I purchased anything. I end up placing my order December 9, 2020. I was told to send my order number to “Ella”. Ella is suppose to add me to their influencer list, once I gave “her” my order number. Ella never responded until December 11th. I waited and waited. It’s been two weeks and some days and my package is still in transit. I tried contacting the person named “Ella” to see what was going on and I got no reply. They don’t even have a phone number, just an email. What made me realize that this was a scam, is when my niece told me that the same person who messaged me messaged her too. I just want my money back. I spent $50.40 on two things that hasn’t been mailed yet. I could of used it towards something more lucrative. I got scammed and I hope no one else has to go through this.

I was contacted on Instagram about collaborating with a clothing brand as an ambassador. I was told to contact another influencer and purchase an order with a discount code. I realized afterwards that it was a scam.
