Scam to get your resume "fixed"

I, too, fell for this. First request was same as others have experienced. MNR has a client looking for an executive with my credentials and requests my resume. I got the same exact email as Anonymous1972. They said my resume is not ATS-friendly and referred me to csuiteresume.com. I paid the initial $5 for a quick review, and then fell for the $99 suggestion to have my resume made into a ATS-friendly version. I pride myself for not falling for scams but these guys were convincing. Subsequent research found that MNR's website is registered in Iceland.

MNR Hiring Inc is an ATS resume "fixing" scam - DO NOT ENGAGE!

Just as Anonymous 1972 mentioned, I was contacted by them for a C-suite level position which happened to be confidential. I fell for the easy $5 expedite fee service for the free analysis, which made me a prime target for the resume fixing service. No need for the really high priced $169 resume design for c-suite job seekers or the $149 design for mid to entry level job seekers. So, I was suggested to just use the $99 resume optimizing package to get it ATS fixed and expedite comes with the cost. Surprise, nothing after that. Just the debit to my card. They use the sense of urgency in their messaging to help push you to getting their "products".

Complete scam. It's the rushing on the part of the mark that they count on. Take your time, research everything that tells you it must be done in a hurry.

Executive Recruiting Scam

They send an email suggesting that they are Exec Recruiters looking to connect with you with a confidential client but need you to "fix" your resume in advance because of unspecified "ATS" issues. The email from their "recruiter" James is quoted below. I didn't follow the link in the email.
A little research using the images on their website revealed that they had run the same same scam under a different business name - KPL Hiring - earlier in the year. Those who experienced that scam were stating that the resume fixing though mentioned as free would actually lead the unsuspecting person to a fee-based service.

This is fraudulent and a waste of time!

The email text:
I am James Brown, the Executive Recruiter at MNR Hiring Inc. David Baker has sent me your resume and asked me to schedule a call with you.

Our system is unable to load your resume. It looks like your resume is not ATS-friendly. Please get a free resume review from: https://www.csuiteresume.com/freereview
and try to fix your resume issues.

We respect the confidentiality and privacy of both parties, so be sure that we'll never share your personal details and even your name with the employer before your approval. We use Applicant Tracking System to share your resume with the employer confidentially. The system hides your name and personal details when presenting your resume to the employer.

For reasons of confidentiality and non-disclosure, I am not able to share any details of the employer with you at this time, unfortunately. However, we have a meeting scheduled with the client on Thursday and I would love to discuss the opportunity with you after that.

I'll be available for a Zoom conference on Friday if that works for you? In the meantime, please try to fix your resume issues, so our timing is not affected.
