Mockingbird Executives Reports & Reviews (1)

This "company" claims to be affiliated with xfinity, direct tv, sprint, Verizon, quill.com, and the humane society. It supposedly participates in third party direct marketing. However, the only account they actually seem to be selling for is xfinity. I interviewed believing that I was being considered for a marketing internship. They make it seem like they are expanding and many new positions are opening up. In reality, there is only one position: sales. After a weeks worth of selling xfinity to people at Walmart six days a week, one can be promoted to sales manager. In less than a year, an employee can supposedly climb to the highest levels of management. All positions are advertised to come with fun bonuses and experiences. Mockingbird executives claims to come from across the pond, branching into California then Tennessee and now Hartford. There was no mockingbird executives in England or California, only "cm3 ltd" and "golden state concepts" run by Senior Executive Chris Mikkides. Cm3 ltd dissolved at the end of last year, and reviews of golden state concepts reveal complaints of a pyramid scheme. My first interview was with Chris, in Rocky Hill. It was only him and a receptionist who appeared to be there. He came across as hurried, barely letting me know what an internship would actually be like. I was told that he likes to treat interns the same as his other employees as it helps them learn the fastest. During my second interview, which was in Hartford, I was paired up with a Sales team leader who had only been working there a few weeks, and did not seem to realize that I was looking to be an intern, not an employee. I was told that they were the top marketing company in the region already. Upon further research I found golden state concept website boasts about being a top ten marketing company on the west coast, neither of those things seem to be true. I am worried for the dozens of college students applying for what is sold as a great opportunity to gain experience and leadership skills, and instead ending up in a sketchy environment with a job that inevitably will not be able to deliver on its promises. I am also concerned about the legitimacy of Mockingbird's connections to the companies it claims to represent. It does not specify its clients on its website, but did in the bottom of an email sent to me.
