I was looking to purchase a large propane tank for a house I'm building and found Modular Container Solutions through an online search. I had several calls with them about pricing on different sized propane tanks, different tank models and shipping costs. They were responsive and their prices were very competitive. I did do a Google search for any negative reviews of the company and did not come up with anything indicating it was not a legitimate business. They emailed me an invoice and payment instructions. They asked for an initial payment of 50% of the total cost including shipping and the balance would be due upon delivery. They offered several methods of payment and I asked to send a bank wire. I confirmed the wire instructions before giving them to my bank. The money was wired from my bank and Modular Container Solutions confirmed receipt of the initial payment. Later that day they sent me a text with the tracking number and a link to the shipping company’s website (Global Express Relocator). I tried to call the phone number on the Global Express website to update the contact information for the shipment, but the phone number was not working. I reached out to Modular Container Solutions and they gave me a different phone number to call. The next day I received a phone call and a text from the shipping company stating that a refundable insurance and clearance fee of $2500 was required. At this point I contacted Modular Container Solutions and told them we would need to cancel the order because the shipping charges were not what we agreed to. They said the fee was for insurance and offered to pay half. I reiterated that I wanted to cancel the order and asked how they would refund the payment we already made, but I have not heard anything more from them. Complete scam.

I contacted the fake website and they didn’t answer my phone call but they immediately texted me trying to get my information / I told them which container I was interested in and they proceeded to write me a fake invoice connected to a a fake business address and a link to put all my credit card information.

I just want this website [censored] down and for other people not to fall for this ever. I was trying to get this to creat another business for myself and they were just willing to take all my money.

After I texted them I wasn’t able to follow through ( because I figured out it was a scam ) they proceeded to curse at me and call me names and harass me.
