Just researched and it was very hard to find this site to verify if it was a scam. Same ordeal as above but I only worked a week and never gave out my personal information. Please flag and beware.

To make a long story short, they asked for my direct deposit information, and I signed an agreement sheet. I was told I would sign the W-2 once the U.S. head branch manager arrived five weeks after my hire date. A couple of weeks later, they asked if I had another bank account, wanting to use my personal checking to send money to pay a truck company for shipping supplies to the U.S. I refused, concerned about the integrity of a company making such a request. They even offered me a 10% convenience fee, which I declined.
As the one-month mark approached, nearing payday, I had already put in over 180 hours of work. I completed various projects, including gathering information for other job sites and setting up a fake account with provided login details and brand images. From 9 am to 5 pm every day, I diligently submitted a timesheet, all in anticipation of the promised payment on July 3.
However, despite my dedication and hard work, I received nothing. They claimed their company had been hacked and couldn't pay me. This situation has left me devastated, upset, and betrayed. My kids and I have been trying to move from a hotel to an apartment, and this pay would have helped us significantly.
I trusted this company with my time, effort, and personal information, only to find myself exploited and unpaid. It’s not just a professional disappointment—it’s a personal tragedy that has left me questioning the integrity of this entire experience.
As of July 15, 2024, I received another email, and I truly believe it's from the same people, just using a different company name and email. Here is the email they sent:
My name is Basile Gagneux and I am HR at Lemaire Sauveterre. You were interested in the Executive Assistant position.
We are talking about a position with a salary of $77,000 per year in a branch of a French cheese company.
You are a perfect fit locally. The branch of the company is right in your area.
I'm conducting interviews this week.
