So not only was the shipping cost over priced and exaggerated, and aside from its odd fluctuations in charged, I was now a witness to brand misrepresentation. This 1 act of uncareful packaging between Palmpé and Monteza destroyed the integrity of the shipping & handling scam had not.
A scam that they and many other brands utilizing an ambassador program use as for their marketing, charging you, the influencer between $12 and even a steep $75 depending on the amount of items chosen. The scam is that the items therefor are not free, added unto the actual shipping are modifiable charges that the brand actually received as revenue for them.
This is the opposite of good business, it is false claims that can only conceive false advertising from its ambassadors and built behind a brand lacking of integrity. A brand that has no regard for their consumers and in fact have only begun using the ambassadors, not to lift up the face or brand of any individual but as unpaid employees working on quid pro quo. These company’s are offering false shipping cost amounts and are not stating actual prices that they pay for sending their products to us. This makes company’s like Palmpé and Monteza liars.
Since beginning to accept the various offers to influence as a brand ambassador I know now I have wasted hundreds of dollars on these shipping costs to gain “free product” and exposure. Even worse, with some of the brands, admittedly I agreed to pay “discounted” ambassador prices... but even with free shipping and all future products supposedly free... I have totally set myself up as yet another online scam victim. Some products I never even received and some, like with Palmpé/Monteza, with products that are so cheaply made it’s nearly embarrassing to wear. Luckily I hobby as a jewelry refurbisher because both of my necklaces were so poorly made I had to basically fix them to get them anywhere near the advertised pictures of them. 1 being better suited to a young child, even tight on my skinny neck.
Palmpe so far is 1 of the worst in that when I received my package sent with the Monteza welcoming and coupon cards. I’m left to believe, I guess, that they share warehouses and employees. Looking into Monteza, it seems they share product as well. As do, upon research, many of the insta brands that are pushing their ambassador programs. Monteza and many other brands are not only scammers, but unoriginal brands in that they literally all sale the same product each claiming it as their own. The product is cheaply made and can be found in little Saigon here in Orange County, California for 95% less the cost, once you see the quality it is sadly obvious.
That being said...
Nothing but love for the influencer cheerleaders out there, I pray only fortunate endeavors for you and your following. As for me, I got me a haul of products from company’s that make my whistle blowing lips drippin to join the other exposing explosives.
For those that didn’t quite catch what I threw out, best of luck and hopes of integrity for all of us! #whistleblower #gimmiebackmymoney #scamvictim #screenshoteverything #ilovehashtagging
Thanks for the detailed warning!
I just want to say, thanks so much for your insight!
I also received this exact Instagram ambassador spiel from Monteza (although they were not posing as another business, it was via a Monteza scout/representative).
The "three free items" seemed intriguing, but after checking out their website (with absolutely no product descriptions, questionable product photography, and very clear bot-written reviews with almost-no negative remarks), and also searching through their Instagram page for comments with "real-person" reviews...I couldn't find much. Looks like they fish out the negative pretty well.
I was also told to choose 3 items, and I'd only have to pay shipping, with the rest of the perks later on. I tallied it all up on their site, and 3 necklaces (coming to $89.97 USD , and discounted to $0) would give me a shipping total of the $23.87USD, similar to what you mentioned above. Curious, because I live in Canada, and you mentioned you live in California?
Although $23+ seems not too bad for 3 necklaces, your mentioning of the cheap quality of the product is concerning.
It's a bit funny, because the Monteza rep who reached out to me with the offer told me this – and I quote: "Our jewelries are made of quick quality materials such as silver and gold-plated Hypoallergenic Sterling metals, dear. Hypoallergenic jewelries are created using components made from metals that contains little to no potentially irritating alloys."
I also notice these scammers always seem to throw in too many pet names like "dear" and "sweetie"...Red flags!
After reading your post, I am choosing not to move forward with this purchase.
Thanks for sharing your very similar experience to mine.
Best,
– Caroline.

Once I did a bit more research, I decided I wanted to cancel my order and receive a refund. They messaged me back saying "we don't issue refunds for invalid reasons" and then I checked their return policy. This is part of it:
A.2 Instances that we CANNOT cancel/refund;
- The order hasn't been delivered due to incomplete or incorrect shipping information provided.
- Used wrong credit/debit cards in purchasing.
- A sudden change of mind.
- Wrong purchase.
- Sale items (if applicable)
Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately, sale items cannot be refunded.
They are guising their scam as an "ambassador program" to take advantage of young girls on Instagram who wish to be ambassadors and influencers.
Also, their ‘phone number’ listed is invalid, their return policy is sketchy, as they lost a ton of other nonsensical items, showing that the creator of the site just copy and pasted it from elsewhere.
Save your money.
If you want the same cheap jewelry for it’s original cost, buy it on AliExpress, just like they do.
DE POTA HATERS?
Just its downside is they have too many brand managers, some of them are dumb and some of them are very professional.

I don't think they are scam. They take good care of me as their ambassador, I suggest you ask the official account for the legitimacy of the brand managaer so you will not fall to someone faking accounts acting as monteza's brand manager.
So, i have ~900 followers on instagram page and i know many scam incidents with fake jewelry when these kind of brands suggest to cooperate with them. They deliberately choose unpopular accounts so that in case of negative reviews (and such will be in any case due to low-quality goods), their company will not suffer much. In conclusion, I am sure that this is a fake company, do not be fooled by it!

She claims it is a French jewelry line. Nothing about being french on the website. So they target you, they saw I was French on my profile.
Then they tell you you need to buy 3 jewels from them, they are free but you need to pay for the postage.
Everything on the website shows it is a scam:
- The phone number listed is invalid: 1 202-852-6814
- Nothing about the brand
- Reviews of the purchases show often the product is not delivered
- the refund policy is not matching with jewelry : "Returns Our policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange. To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.Several types of goods are exempt from being returned. Perishable goods such as food, flowers, newspapers or magazines cannot be returned. We also do not accept products that are intimate or sanitary goods, hazardous materials, or flammable liquids or gases.
Additional non-returnable items:
Gift cards
Downloadable software products
Some health and personal care items
To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.
Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.
There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted (if applicable)
Book with obvious signs of use
CD, DVD, VHS tape, software, video game, cassette tape, or vinyl record that has been opened
Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error
Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery.
I chatted with @monteza.dylan on instagram and she acts like everything is normal.
I was mad of your opinion about the refund system. I don't care who the [censored] is Mónteza and who the [censored] is Dylan y'all know that if you want refund you should give back to the manufacturer the items. Please don't brain wash these people for not giving back the items!...
I have a small business in Chicago I'm not here to promote my business to y'all, I know how it feels that a customer wanted a refund but never gave the item back like wtf b****h. I can relate to you sometimes, I bought something on Alibaba for wholesale some products has damage
not because of the manufacturer but to the courier also. I am not here to promote scam but to be fair you know b****h... If that's their policy respect it! just like Amazon's policy! If the Alibaba give me some lacking items and damage one's then I should call them scam? No b****h they are also a human that do mistakes. Maybe she's acting normal to give you a best customer service... It's ugly when the Manager will also mad and it's not good for their image.
Not being rude but tbh you are a very narcissistic and a self-centred person af. Ofc the attitude of white people cannot blame...Btw, are you perfect? Cause I'm not. Sorry but not sorry.
To conclude the company legit but it really depend on the Brand Manager if he is scamming or not.
