I received a letter from Jenny Bosco in the mail saying congratulations on the upcoming baby and containing $245 in baby gear gift cards. I am not pregnant and do not know anyone by the name of Jenny Bosco. It turns out it is a scam by Mother's Lounge to get people to use their products or a way to steal credit card information if the gift cards are used. I do not know how this company got my personal home address or full name. Totally invasive and innapropriate. I would like to report them for misuse and improper conduct in obtaining and using personal data and for creating potential family trauma in receiving a letter saying you are pregnant.

I received a card around mid-October, and on the envelope my name and address was there, but the return address was missing, so I didn't know who had sent it to me. When I opened it there was a card inside and on the cover is a picture of an avocado that reads, "Holy guacamole! You're going to avo baby!" Inside it reads, "Congratulations!!! I'm so excited for you! I hope you like these. <3 Jenny B." Inside of the card were seven hand-cut coupons for baby products from different companies, and five gift cards for baby products totaling $245, along with the receipt. At first I thought I had received the card by mistake, because I am not pregnant nor expecting and I do not know anyone by the name Jenny B. But the more I looked at the card and the receipt, the more I suspected that it might be a scam. Then a few days ago I saw on CBS News that other women received the exact same card, coupons, and gift cards as I did, proving that it is indeed a scam from a company called Mother's Lounge in Utah. How they received my name or address to send this to me I'll never know, since I've never purchased anything from that company or even heard of it. I just hope no one tries to use the gift cards because on the CBS report they stated that if you try to use any of them the cost of shipping skyrockets, pretty much canceling out the value of the gift card.
