DO NOT use their service. Be warned!

My experience was similar to the other reports.
I needed affordable movers to help with my small studio apartment. They told me it would be $75 an hour and explained with my type of apartment it would estimate to be $300-400.
I agreed to it and booked with them. I explained that I only had a small window for the elevator in my new place from 2-4. They arrived an hour late and said they would add one more mover to speed up the process. I had cats that needed to get to the new place so I told them I would meet them at the new place. They asked me to pay a whopping $869. I was absolutely outraged. This was not what I was told. He explained that it was extra for the 3rd mover hired. I was not told that it would be extra for that. Also, they were 1 hour and 15 minutes late. By the time we got to my new condo, they unloaded all my belongings in the construction site next to an outhouse. I explained to them because they were late and took 2 hours to load the van, we needed to rebook the elevator. When I left to go find someone to help get the elevator serviced, they had completed vanished with all my belongings scattered all over the construction site. Boxes were broken, my beautiful clothes and mattress covered in mud. I messaged Johnathan (the one who I spoke on the phone with) he said he told them to leave. And I’ve never heard from him since.

I’m heartbroken this happened to me. Thank goodness the guy building this condo were in the area, they helped me bring all my belongings up.

What a complete scam and waste of $869

Husband, baby and I were moving from Milton to Etobicoke. We found Jonathan’s “Fastest Moving” company on Kijiji. We were just looking for affordable guys with a truck, nothing too luxurious.
I’m pregnant with my second and hubby has a weak back, we mainly needed the manual labour out the way.

On Kijiji, Jonathan said the whole thing would be 85$ per hour for 2 movers + truck. This price was agreed upon twice.
One day prior, all of a sudden there is a non-refundable deposit fee of $300. They charged us for 4 hours minimum. They said price would be adjusted in the end. We reluctantly agreed.
They were supposed to be here at 5pm, they were here 5:15.pm. No problem at all.
When they arrived, they gave us an invoice which we hesitantly signed because it had a dozen absurd hidden fees. But since it was our moving day, we had no choice but to stay on schedule and accept.

We did everything to ease things for them in advance, brought 90% of our stuff neatly packed downstairs and in the garage, all they’d have to do is load it in the truck. This way loading wouldn’t take more than 1 hour.

We offered them snacks and beverages as they worked.
When it was time for my husband to lead the way (around 6:30) by car to our new place, my husband called me to update me on things, saying “since there are so many hidden fees, we agreed I’d go withdraw more money at the bank, I’m almost at Etobicoke, they should be there soon!”
I looked out our window and replied “uhm, they’re still on our driveway!”
So me and my family went out asking what was up and why they didn’t follow behind my husband, they said their 20ft truck won’t start.

Great.
Could’ve at least told your customer?

The 2 young movers knew they weren’t getting paid, so they left. Only Jay the driver sat behind. He said another truck will come with 2 other movers and they will transfer everything from one truck to another. We’re like “hmm… okay at least they came up with a plan, I guess…” but something felt off.
Jay waited 1 hour, second truck still hasn’t arrived, and when his truck miraculously started again, he had the audacity to ask my husband for another $50 for the hour wasted because he could’ve made money elsewhere.

Okay buddy, and we could’ve moved!

Anywho, my husband had come back from Etobicoke to Milton to check on things Even though Jay has the address, husband escorts him from Milton to Etobicoke. There are no 2 movers, just Jay and my husband. They arrive at our new place and start unloading. Jay says “oh, the other 2 movers are at the roundabout, they don’t have a car or gps, I’ll go get them and we can continue unloading and bringing everything in”.
Husband agreed and waited patiently inside our new domicile. He waits for an extremely long time, giving them the benefit of the doubt, however the roundabout is 2 minutes away. So husband goes outside, he sees that the truck is gone, everything had been unloaded on the front yard/pavement/neighbours yard. Our stuff was broken, boxes THROWN and destroyed in the process, things falling out of boxes. I can’t begin to express our anger.
We are moving to our FIRST home, meaning ALL appliances are brand new and still packaged. They could’ve easily been stolen. Our baby’s and newborn stuff was also all over the place.

My husband documented everything and took pictures of everything.

He calls Jay, but he blocked my husband’s number. Of course.

So it is now past midnight, my husband, with his already weak back, is bringing in all these boxes, suitcases and furniture inside one by one, by himself, to insure our belongings don’t get stolen, and to avoid any disputes with our new neighbours and landlord.

So, to Jonathan and Jay, you lovely lovely scammers, I just have one message:
Sukk yo modda

Same happened to me. Jonathan was rude and scary and threatened me to keep my stuff if I wouldn't pay. Cirrently working maling à complain with the pokice because this is extortion and also with consumer protection for false representation. Please do the same this guy needs to be stop!

I needed movers last min for a small moving.

I went on Kijij and saw an add that seemed affordable. I called. The person present himself as Jonathan. I asjed how much for a small moving and/or per hour. I was quoted 250$/2h and 75$ for any additional hours. I ask is that it? He said yes.

He said he would send a txt to my phone so i can provide him the informations he needed for the movers. On the said twxt he also reiterate the pricing mentionned on the phone.

We agreed to 10am moving. Yesterday i got a txt confirmimg for 9h30. I said no it was 10am. We agreed on 9h45. The movers arrived at 10h07 and didnt started moving stuff until 10h20am.

Meanwhile they pay the 250$ and signed the contract, which the mover verbally reconfirmed the price I was told. I signed. He wrote arrived time 10am. I had to fight to get it adjusted. Tet they wrote the wrong time (10h10am when they started at 10h20).

Im alone with no car so once they were about to wrap up i said id go ahead to the storage and meet them there. After waiting for a long time, I received a call from Jonathan, the man I originally spoke with. He said his men were waiting for their payment.

I said i already paid and were not yet to pay an extra hour. Thats where im sure the scam begin. He said that the amount paid was just a deposit, and for the entire moving the total amount was 467$. I said ita not what we discussed and what you wrote me. He said he didnt care, i signed the contract and his men wouldn't move until they recieve the money. I told him i didnt have a car and was already at the storage and i wouldnt walk back there.

Had to argue to have him agree to at least have his men come and park at storage. Then i told him he was a fraud and I would report him to proper authorities. Thats when he said that "if I was you, id watch my mouth and wait to get my stuff before to say what im about say." I asked him if he was threatening me to keep my stuff? He just ask if i was paying or not and where i was.

I was scared for my belongings so I just had to say where and nothing more. The moving took an hour and could have take less, for the beautiful amount of 467$ instead of the 250$ originally quote.

After coming home and dig his info, i can see he had a bunch of moving companies and other compagnies under différent names and with the same numbers he provided me.

I am.pretty sure he is scamming other people like that. Abd looking at the contract, it doesnt seem legit, no company address, fake email and phone number dont answer no more.
