I just moved from home to home within Ohio and went to change my mailing address. So, I went to the first website that showed up on Google under the search "address change". Clicked on it, seemed professional. By the end, it had my insert my card without telling me the cost to change the address. Without thinking, I clicked "Accept" and got a notification from my banking company that I was charged almost $100 just to change my address.

movingpostaladdress.com is a clever copy of the USPS.com mail forwarding. If you simply fill out the form that appears, without carefully reading the disclaimers on the page, the company will charge $99.75 for informing the postal service of your change of address - something that USPS charges just $1.15 to do online or free of charge if you fill out a paper form at the post office.

movingpostaladdress.com claims to provide other "services" as well, but they do not collect the necessary information in order to provide those services. They make their money fraudulently from those who mistakenly wind up at their website and do not read it carefully, and then do not discover the outrageous charges on their credit card until too late.

Was looking to change my address. Since the site looked so much like the official usps site I believed it to be valid until I noticed it charged almost $100 for services when they don’t even fulfill.
