These is a group of scammers passing on customers to each other. They have been using different addresses all over the United States. I reported this company to the city of Boca Raton, and it seem that they were using a fake address location and doing business without a License, according to what a an official of city of Boca Raton as October 29, 2024. I spoke today to this official and it seems that this Capital movers now they got a business license and they are at that location???

This Capital movers are connected to other companies in Los Angeles such Impala Vans which seems this company doesn't even exist and this other one with the name of Landrans. These two companies have very bad reports and complaints on google search pages. I hope that your Bureau will do something about these scammers. Thank you.

They answered a bid for movers through a moving website with a phone call. Brandon called from an Arkansas phone number and went through the whole estimate and contract process with me. They emailed me a contract with all the information about my move but did not properly explain the details of the contract. They instead rushed me to make a deposit in order to hold the price of my estimate and reserve my spot on the moving truck. They insisted that the initial deposit be paid by bank transfer through Venmo or Zelle and that the remaining balance could be paid with credit card upon arrival of the truck. After payment, they had another team member contact me to confirm everything and they both assured me that if I had any questions, I could call the account rep (Brandon) directly or customer service team at any time. When moving day arrived, no one showed up. I called the direct number of the account rep that they provided and it went straight to voicemail. I called customer service and they put me on hold for hours, shuffled me around to different employees and then eventually turned off the phones when they "closed" the office for the day. Despite multiple employees promising me that they would look into the issue and call me right back, no one called me back or offered any resolution before they stopped answering the phones. When you look up the name of the business, there is only a Google business account with 21 100% 5-star reviews which appeared legitimate. I later looked up the name of the business owner which was the name on the Venmo account I sent the money to, and I found he has multiple moving businesses, some with no information and others with multiple Yelp reviews stating the same story I am telling you now. The other business with the reviews on Yelp was called Extra Space Storage and Moving, located in Coral Gables, FL.

We are a 3rd party logistics company, our responsibility is to pay carriers on behalf of shippers. Ron C. of Superior Transport refused to pay is initial invoice ($1,775), after which his account was closed with us, and he was notified of all future orders being cancelled. Superior Transport then proceeded to use our account information as a third party payer of two carrier invoices ( $4,446 and $3,857) . When asked about it, he insisted us that it would be payed and to just invoice him. After calling the customers he invoiced with, we were informed that they paid him. Basically he used our bill of lading and shipping to ship for another company, and then collected all of the money himself. Since then we have not heard from him and he has blocked our number.

Called and spoke to a mover named Derrick Anderson who advertises his Dee's Professional Movers company on 1/29/24 & followed up through texts regarding a 2/24/24 move date. He had the address where I was moving from & moving to & stated he would come do a walkthrough for an estimate, which he never did then he texted me on 2/12/24 to ask if I still needed a mover. After I replied Yes & inquired about availability for 2/24/24 date he again said he would do move & gave size of truck but never gave an estimated arrival time. Called him in 2/16/24 & he said he needed $60 travel fee that was also a deposit for the date. He texted his Cashap lashun602 to receive $60, which was sent right away on 2/16/24. He texted back on 2/22/24 that he overbooked for 2/24/24 & asked me to pick another date. I wanted my money refunded & returned instead. He kept the money & has made no attempt to return it despite repeated requests via Cashap & texts. He fraudulently took money & did not provide the service. Apparently there is no recourse for transactions like this as the Surprise Police Department officer Jan said it's just a "learning lesson" since they cannot do anything.

I found these movers on Craigslist. They (he) said they needed $250 to reserve movers for my moving day. I Zelled it to him. On day of moving they changed rate and said they needed an additional $250 and I declined. We were stuck with no movers at 2pm and then they refused to give money back and won’t answer calls. They listed themselves as being $38 an hour fir two men and a truck. “Valley movers” 602-718-9496. Rafael Jorge Torres.

I used the website: https://www.motorcartrans.com/ to fill out a request to move a vehicle. They are a broker service.

Immediately after submitting the form, I had several companies reach out with quotes. I selected SMTransports. They asked for payment over Zelle, then disappeared. Motorcarstrans.com could be held liable for allowing a scammer into their system to provide fakes quotes. I would expect that other broker services, like motorcartrans, have similar issues. Don't pay using Zelle, Venmo, or any other direct money transfer service. Legitimate companies ask for credit card, as this can be disputed through your bank.

I paid U-Haul Moving Help via credit card for two storage containers. The scammer was hired to load both containers but ended up only needing one. He told me to give him the payment code from U-Haul, which released the payment to him, then call U-Haul for my refund. When I did, they told me they no longer have the funds, so I need to get my refund from the scammer directly. He refuses to issue the refund and claims that I agreed to pay him for loading two containers.

Individual had a Craigslist ad. Moving company.

I contacted him. He came to my home. Got 260$ from me for deposit.

Then a week later before the move, asked me for the balance.

They used check by phone to take my money and told me it was fully refundable

This website is a fake one and there were three guys who came to move my stuff from my place. They stoped their vehicle midway and claimed for more money. When called the police, they weren’t afraid and even the police were of no help. I expect no one should go through this experience in the future. I ended up paying 1500$ extra which should have been 300$

I booked a move with the brokers Continental Moving and Storage on 7/20. My move was scheduled for 7/27 with a back up day of 7/28. I was told that the driver would contact me the night before to schedule pick up. I did not get a call and after not hearing from anyone I was finally told that the pick up would take place in 7/28. After finally waiting all day on Sunday, the driver called around 4:30pm and stated that he would arrive in an hour and a half. The drivers arrived shortly after 6 and begin moving boxes into the garage and placing stickers on them. They began to load the truck at this point I had not been given documents to sign. After the job was 1/3 complete, I was given documents to sign/ initial including a blank bill of lading. The minimum number of days for delivery on the paperwork said 3 but because I was told 3-5, I waited until Friday, August 2. I did not initially know the correct company to contact because on the passenger door of the Ryder truck was a computer print out that said Ivy League Moving Services. I contacted Continental who informed me that American Home Relocation was my carrier. I called the office and Karen, who answered the phone as"Moving Services" informed me that dispatch told her my items were in a warehouse in Doraville, GA and would be loaded on the truck over the weekend. At this point I became concerned about my goods and asked for the warehouse address because I was interested in getting family pick up my items for me since my family lives in the Atlanta area. I was told by Anita that there about 5 different warehouses and she did not know the address. I called Saturday (8/3) morning and I am assuming that I spoke with the dispatcher who said if my goods were loaded on the truck I would get a call from the driver. On Tuesday (8/6) I was told that my goods would be loaded on a truck and would be delivered by the end of the week. On Thursday (8/8) I was told by Alan that my goods were still in Chicago and would be loaded on the 12th or 13th. The company apparently operates as both American Home Relocation and Moving Services.
