I purchased a sphynx cat from a breeder in Kingsville Texas. I was told the shipping fee would be $250 which I included in the cost of my cat. The next day I received an email and two phone calls from this moving winds company saying that I would have to pay $1500 upfront for delivery of the cat because of new SPCA rules and regulations to thwart animal cruelty. Upon delivery of the cat to my address, they would surely reimburse the $1500 in cash. I quickly told them I would not be sending any additional funds and then contacted the breeder who was unaware of this condition.
