- Fayetteville, PA, USA

I was contacted by Blinx moving company to confirm the details of my move within 24 hours of booking. During the confirmation call he asked for two codes that had been sent to me via text message by MovingHelp.com and said they were codes he needed to finalize the booking. The text messages containing the codes said nothing about them being pay codes so I provided them to the mover not knowing that they were the pay codes that he wasn't supposed to receive until after the services were provided. He confirmed the two bookings I had made and said nothing about any issues with any of them. After the call I texted him both moving addresses and the times and he confirmed them again, never mentioning any problems with the reservations. The week of the move he contacted me again and confirmed the date, location, and time of the move for both loading and unloading, he still did not say anything about any problems with the reservation. On the day of the move he showed up at the agreed upon address and assisted with loading the truck. After he was done he confirmed that he would be at our new address to help unload around 3:30p but he never showed. I texted him and called him multiple times but never received an answer. Ultimately we ended up unloading all our items ourselves despite already having paid for his service to do it. I contacted MovingHelp.com about the situation and that was when I found out the codes he had asked for at confirmation were the pay codes and they told me that since I had provided them there was nothing they could do for me but that they could assist with contacting the business owner and mediate to help with a resolution. I agreed to use them as mediators and once contact was finally made with the owner he told me that he never showed because I had supposedly not reserved enough time but this was never communicated to me in the multiple times I had spoken with the company prior to my move. Upon further research I discovered that he had done this to multiple people multiple times over the last 10 years in Pennsylvania, Maryland, and West Virginia. I contacted MovingHelp.com about this and they refused to take any action or remove him from their website. I was able to dispute the charge with my credit card company and was able to get my money back for the services that he didn't provide. However he is continuing to do this to people and some of the people he does this to are physically unable to unload the trucks themselves and don't have the money to hire other movers.
